Duties

Provide personalized care to residents or clients, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.

Develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.

Support clients with medication management and health monitoring as directed by healthcare professionals.

Maintain clear and compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members to ensure quality care.

Assist with household tasks, including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry to promote a homely environment.

Use IT systems to accurately record care activities, updates, and observations for each individual.
Qualifications

Must live in East Lothian or Midlothian or Edinburgh or close by.

Valid driving license compulsory for roles involving transportation or home visits.

Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English to understand care instructions and document accurately.

Basic IT skills for recording information electronically and managing digital care plans.

Strong communication skills to build trustful relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and well-being.
