About the Role

As an English Teacher at Kingswood Academy, the successful candidate will create a learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged. The role involves planning engaging lessons, tracking student progress, and providing helpful feedback. Working closely with colleagues, pastoral staff, and parents, the teacher will help meet the needs of every student and build their confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and teach lessons that engage students and build understanding.
Adapt teaching style to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, high ability, and EAL.
Use assessment and feedback to help students reflect on their progress and close any gaps.
Build a positive classroom culture with clear routines and high expectations for behaviour.
Work with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create the best outcomes for every student.

Requirements

Lift Kingswood are looking for someone who:

Have QTS, or are currently training and due to achieve QTS by September 2026 or hold a degree in English and would like to transition into teaching through the in-house Instructor training route, leading to securing qualified teacher status within two years. Helping Lift Kingswood to develop the next generation of great teachers.
Have a genuine passion for teaching PE and a love for the subject.
Have a desire to make a difference to young people’s lives.
Are committed to great relationships and high-quality teaching.
