Caring Together Charity is immensely proud of the work it does to support unpaid carers and is currently seeking warm-hearted care assistants to join its dedicated team.

About the Role

This role will use your understanding of person-centred care to be part of a responsive team. You will be providing support to customers and their families at short notice in the event of a needed break for unpaid carers.

Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and may include:

  • Helping someone develop a new skill

  • Providing personal and emotional support

  • Helping people plan and manage their home

  • Supporting leisure activities and interests

You could be supporting people in their own homes or taking them out and about in their community. You will also play a proactive role in signposting the people supported and their families.

What Caring Together Charity Needs From You

  • A full driving licence and your own vehicle is essential.

  • Experience is not essential — a kind and compassionate nature is more important, and full training will be given.

  • An understanding of person-centred care.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Comfortable using various systems on a mobile phone to update care plans and check scheduled visits.

  • Comfortable assisting with personal care for the people supported when required.
