Media Island Systems, is an all in one digital marketing software and agency specializing in the international tourism industry, specifically with Central American tourism agencies. We work on campaigns highly targeted to Miami, FL, and surrounding areas to increase our client’s branding and to improve their client acquisition processes.
We are currently recruiting an intern for a Human Resources position. This is a college credit internship experience.
The Human Resources Intern will have the ability to interact with management in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient; a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. All student candidates must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or technical school. The student will be asked to intern at least twenty-four hours a week, however, we will try our best to work around your schedule.

Responsibilities
- Assist with multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on project deadlines in a timely manner
- Appropriately process paperwork for new hires and terminations
- Use high level of creativity
- Analytical skills
- Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
- Keep up-to-date with office supply inventory
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
- Assist with multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on project deadlines in a timely manner
- Take minutes during meetings
- Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
- Organize and maintain the office filing system
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field
- Minimum 2 years of customer service or related experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform work accurately and with attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Discretion and confidentiality
