Responsibilities

- Planning and managing delivery – Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource allocations to ensure successful delivery against agreed scope, time, and budget.
- Coordinating stakeholders – Act as the central coordination point between business teams, technical teams, suppliers, and governance boards to ensure alignment and clear communication.
- Managing risks and issues – Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and blockers, escalating where required to ensure delivery momentum is maintained.
- Tracking progress and reporting – Monitor project performance against agreed outcomes, producing regular updates on status, finances, risks, and benefits for senior leadership and governance boards.
- Ensuring governance and compliance – Ensure the project follows organisational governance processes, including approvals, documentation, change control, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Respect for your expertise
This is a highly important role within our Finance, Modernisation & Digital portfolio, which means you’ll need:
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects in a digital, technology, or transformation environment, managing scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Experience using structured project delivery methodologies, such as PRINCE2, Agile, or similar frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring effective mitigation and escalation where required.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile certification, or a recognised project management qualification.
