Where?
We work in many locations, mainly across the Rochdale area. The advert you responded to will tell you your main working location, but you may be asked to work in another location to best meet the needs of our service users.
What?
The Triple A Support Worker has a wide range of duties and tasks. There’s more about these later. The main aim is to provide the best personalised support to young people aged 13 to 25 with ASC or who experience Neurodiversity.
The Hours:
Our service users’ needs come first, and so we need flexibility when it comes to your working hours. We generally work anytime between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. However, there may be occasions when evening or weekend working will be necessary in order to support a customer in work.
Your Role:
Responsibilities:
1.To support young people with ASC and Neurodiversity to gain confidence in their local communities.
2.To build communication and social skills, enabling them to build and form lasting relationships.
3.To support them one to one, in order to gain rust and build confidence.
4.To support them in group activities in the local community.
5.To support them to make decisions and develop new ideas for activities.
6.For those aged 18 plus to support them into voluntary and work placements
7.To support those who are ready into paid employment.
8.To be aware of and report any safeguarding concerns in line with company policy.
General Duties:
1. To provide support to job search and complete application forms
2. To provide employment support to young people and their employers.
3. To provide a range of social care support to enable participants to find and keep employment.
4. To undertake tasks as detailed and prescribed in their action plans.
5. To keep accurate daily case notes.
6. To support with the quarterly reporting on the contract.
Secondary Duties:
1. Attend regular staff meetings.
2. Maintain a working knowledge of routine fire safety, health and safety and safeguarding in line with procedures of PossAbilities and current legislation.
3. Take responsibility for own health and safety and that of people the service supports, work colleagues and others, to report any risk to the line manager.
4. Be familiar with and work within the organisation’s policies and procedures, maintaining records and reports accordingly.
5. Keep senior staff informed regarding the client’s development, welfare and other
6. As directed, to provide relief cover for other staff working in other locations.
7. Work in conjunction with more senior staff to make suggestions for the improvement of services.
8. Undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time-to-time by the chief executive
Training & Development
- Participate in appropriate training and development as required, be responsible in the identification, and undertaking of his/her own training and development.
- Attend and actively engage in supervisions, appraisals’ and team meetings
