Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Teacher needed for providing 1:1 tutoring to Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs on an online and remote basis required in your area.

Targeted Provision is working with Schools and Local Authorities remotely across the country and in your area. The company is looking for Core Subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEND Teachers to transform the lives of Young People with SEND and SEMH needs in their community.

Multiple positions are available, hiring is ongoing, and interviews are being scheduled on a rolling basis. Targeted Provision will contact applicants regarding tuition within 15 miles of their current address or a designated location and/or within 45 minutes of the postcode provided.

Targeted Provision is on a mission to meaningfully raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). The company is passionate about supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).

Role Overview

Targeted Provision is looking for Online / Remote SEND Teachers with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners.

Requirements

  • 2+ years online teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
  • Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science online / remotely
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Enhanced DBS (the company can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, including SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Support students referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
  • Complete lesson reports and provide regular feedback on student progress

Employment Status

This position involves engaging with Targeted Provision on a self-employed basis, as and when opportunities arise.

  • SLD / MLD Teacher
  • Autism / ADHD Support Teacher
  • Intervention Specialist / Teacher / Tutor
  • Ex-Teacher

Other highly relevant roles from therapeutic and learning support backgrounds include:

  • Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA)
  • Educational Therapist
  • Speech and Language Therapist (SALT)
  • Educational Psychologist (EP)
  • Inclusion Coordinator
