About Whirli

Whirli is a toy subscription service that lets families choose toys, enjoy them at home and swap them when their children are ready for something different.

Whirli helps parents keep up with changing interests, discover new favourites and reduce clutter, while keeping toys in use across more families. Whirli’s social content should capture that combination of childhood joy, practical value and a more sustainable approach to play.

What You’ll Do

Your initial priorities will be content creation and community engagement. Working with Whirli’s Head of Growth, you’ll agree a realistic content calendar that fits the available hours.

You will:

  • Create and publish engaging content for Instagram and Facebook, with TikTok where appropriate. Produce Reels, Stories, carousels and feed posts, adapting each piece to the platform.

  • Bring Whirli’s toys and service to life through demonstrations, play ideas, customer stories and behind-the-scenes content. Make choosing, enjoying and swapping toys easy to understand.

  • Own day-to-day production, from ideas and filming to Canva designs, video editing, captions and clear calls to action. Work within Whirli’s brand guidelines and build reusable templates.

  • Build an active, welcoming community by responding thoughtfully to comments and messages, encouraging customer contributions and passing account queries to customer service.

  • Create paid advertising assets within agreed capacity, working with Whirli’s paid media agency on briefs, different hooks and creative variations. The agency handles campaign management and media buying.

  • Use results to improve your work, sharing a concise view of what people watch, save, share and click—and what Whirli should try next.

  • As capacity grows, you’ll also help develop influencer, affiliate and brand partnerships, working with Whirli’s growth, PR and marketing colleagues on relevant collaborations and campaigns.

Whirli will prioritise these responsibilities together, with a manageable workload within the agreed hours.

What Whirli Is Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys making content personally and can combine creativity with organisation and commercial judgement.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience creating social content for a consumer brand, with a portfolio showing work you personally designed, filmed or edited.

  • Strong Canva or equivalent design skills, confident short-form video editing using CapCut or similar, and clear, engaging copywriting.

  • A good understanding of what makes organic content engaging and paid advertising creative persuasive.

  • The initiative to suggest ideas, organise a content schedule and deliver consistently.

  • An interest in play, family life, sustainability or the circular economy.

  • Experience with parenting audiences, toys, subscriptions or ecommerce would be useful. Influencer, affiliate or partnership experience is a bonus.

You don’t need to be a parent. Whirli values audience understanding, good judgement and the quality of your work.

Why Join Whirli?

You’ll have room to contribute ideas, take ownership of your creative work and help shape how families experience the Whirli brand.

You’ll work alongside Whirli’s Head of Growth, graphic designer, paid media department and PR and marketing colleagues. They’ll provide direction, insights and specialist support, while you own the day-to-day social content.

There is scope to expand the role over time, with progress, responsibilities and hours reviewed together.
