The Cumberland Children Advice and Support Service (formerly the Safeguarding Hub) is looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Social Worker to join a service that is passionate about making the right decisions for children and families at the right time.

Cumberland Children Advice and Support Service has a responsibility to accurately identify the needs of children, young people and their parents and carers and to ensure that the appropriate services and support are provided at the right time, allowing safeguarding outcomes to be achieved.

Cumberland Council wants to meet an enthusiastic and creative Social Worker who wants to be part of an experienced multi-agency team working collaboratively and efficiently to make good decisions which keep children safe.

Cumberland Council is looking for a Social Worker who can respond to risk and understand how to prioritise safeguarding and support needs for children. Cumberland Council has high aspirations for children and high expectations of each other so that everyone can work together to ensure that children are at the heart of practice.

This role is available on a permanent basis.

Level of check required:
Enhanced DBS check with a Children’s and Adults Barred List check.

This role involves working in regulated activity with adults and children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults and children.
