Role Overview
Longwood HPG LTD is looking for a kind, reliable, and engaging Personal Assistant to support my daughter, who is 25 years old. Her current PA is leaving in January, and the start date is from 21 January 2026 (this can move to 3 February 2026 if needed).
This role is about friendship, care, companionship, and supporting independence in daily life, within a warm family setting. There may be opportunity for you to shadow the current PA / ask her questions.

The role is flexible, personal, and one-to-one, rather than agency-based care.
Working Days and Flexibility
Regular working days:

Tuesday and Wednesday mainly – ideally some flexibility is appreciated
Additional:

1–4 days a month as paid leave – if she is travelling with her mum / unwell

Occasional evening support (up to 9:30–10:00 pm) for work or social commitments
Please note:

Holidays are kindly requested to be taken at the same time as ours, or discussed in advance so dates can align. Alternatively, you can advise me of your holiday dates and I will take time off at the same time.
Hours and Transport

Typical hours are 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (can be re-agreed)

You will collect and drop off Sakeena, so a full UK driving licence is essential

Pick-up and drop-off times can be discussed
-
There may be occasions where I can collect after work if you live nearby
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role is to care for a young adult while supporting her independence, confidence, and enjoyment of everyday life, managing and understanding her.
This includes:

Being conversational, patient, and engaging

Spending time talking, listening, and offering companionship

Doing word puzzles, board games, and learning new things together

Arts and crafts activities
-
Reading to her or listening to her reading
-
Walks in the park, gentle yoga, and movement to keep her energetic

Cinema trips and outings
-
Taking her for massage or beauty treatments / her lessons

Supporting her when out and about
-
(She is a little unsteady on her feet and needs help crossing roads and getting to places safely)

Food and Daily Living Support
-
Helping with food: eating out / in together

Shopping together
-
Preparing simple meals for lunch or dinner at your place or hers

Or eating out together

Prompting and supporting with medication
-
Providing personal care when needed, with dignity and respect
The focus is on daily life, independence, and companionship, rather than medical care.
Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence
-
DBS (CRB) check (or willing to obtain)

British passport or valid UK work visa

First Aid trained (or willing to complete training)

Able to cook simple meals

Comfortable providing personal care

Responsible, warm, and reliable

Happy to work directly with a family and provide caring support

Able to organise and book trips and places to visit

Provide a summary of day activities / events afterwards
