Job Summary
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) is seeking an experienced and ambitious Service Analyst to join the Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Sub National Secure Data Environment (SDE) Programme.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions transforming scientific research and healthcare delivery within the NHS. The successful candidate will:

Support delivery and continuous improvement of the TVS SDE service.

Main Duties
Reporting to the TVS SDE Service Lead, the Service Analyst will provide day-to-day operational support and collaborate with:

Business analysts

Software engineers
-
Information governance officers
-
Programme and project managers
-
Commercial leads
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting diverse and complex service management workload.
-
Developing in-depth expertise in key service areas while maintaining a broad understanding of overall service operations.

Managing multiple projects and service improvement initiatives of varying scale and complexity.
-
Ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational objectives.
-
Providing occasional out-of-hours support for incidents as part of an on-call or rota system.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
-
Master’s degree (or equivalent qualification/experience)
-
ITIL Foundation Certificate, Agile qualification, or similar
Desirable:
-
ITIL Practitioner or equivalent
-
PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent
Experience
Essential:
-
2–5 years in a service analyst or customer-facing role
-
Extensive IT service management and ITIL expertise
-
Leading teams to optimise service delivery and drive continuous improvement
-
Development and use of Power BI dashboards (or equivalent) for actionable insights
Desirable:
-
Supporting ISO 27001 compliance, tracking controls, and resolving nonconformities
-
Developing and documenting operational procedures, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
