Role Overview

Aspiration Tuition is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced freelance English Tutor to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in English Language and Literature and be confident teaching students across Key Stages 3 to 5 (Years 7–13).

In this role, the tutor will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons based on individual student needs
Tracking student progress and communicating updates with parents
Managing their own calendar and scheduling sessions
Supporting students to achieve academic goals such as exam preparation, improving grades, and developing analytical and writing skills

Note: This is a self-employed (contractor) position, not an offer of employment. Successful candidates will be responsible for invoicing for all completed work.

Requirements

Degree in English, Education, or a related field
Proven experience teaching English at KS3–KS5 (GCSE and A-Level)
Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with UK exam board specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners
Enhanced DBS (can be applied for independently)

Job Details

Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 5–25 per week
