Role Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of bar staff is to work efficiently as part of a team, ensuring that food and drinks are served to company specifications while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.

Key Duties Include:

Taking orders, preparing, dispensing, and serving drinks to the correct specification (at the bar or via the customer app)
Delivering food to customers, completing check-backs, and clearing plates promptly
Providing friendly interactions—greeting customers, expressing thanks, and building rapport
Staying informed about promotions, events, and new products
Maintaining “clean as you go” standards, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and carrying out toilet checks
Supporting all operational areas such as glass-washing, restocking fridges, and keeping the floor and beer garden tidy

Work Schedule:
J D Wetherspoon pubs open early and close late, offering flexibility with shift patterns including mornings, evenings, weekends, and late finishes.

Competitive hourly pay rate (£12.31 per hour)

£1 extra per hour for hours worked between midnight and 5:59 a.m.
