Role Overview

The Teaching Associate position is based within the Aston Foundation Centre, part of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and creative team that values mutual support and academic excellence.

The role involves contributing to, developing, and enhancing teaching and scholarship activities within the Aston Foundation Centre, both independently and as part of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and support key modules within the department, with potential for collaboration across undergraduate programmes in the College.

  • Focus on teaching in areas related to engineering science, mathematics, and project-based learning.

  • Contribute to departmental citizenship activities, including acting as a Health & Safety Coordinator and serving as a personal tutor for students.

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in a STEM discipline is essential.

  • Proven experience in teaching and assessing students, with clear evidence of positive impact on student learning.
