About Red Whale
Red Whale is a leading UK medical education provider, serving thousands of primary care professionals every year. Red Whale was started in 2007 by two practising GPs, who had a dream of helping themselves and their colleagues by taking CPD from a tick box exercise to a practical tool that could support them in everyday practice. They formed GP Update.
Over 15 years later, Red Whale has a new name (Red Whale), more than 50 team members and over 30,000 primary care clinicians learning with the organisation each year. Yet Red Whale still has roots firmly in that dream of helping colleagues. The desire to be a force for good remains at the heart of the business.
A remote first and flexible organisation since inception, Red Whale continues to hold true to its values to inspire, empower and care through trustworthy, top quality and interactive medical education so that primary care colleagues can deliver their best care possible. Red Whale is shamelessly proud of never ever EVER taking pharmaceutical company sponsorship of any kind, not even a biscuit, a pen, or a sticky note. Originally a face-to-face course provider, Red Whale now delivers the majority of learning through the website application.
Acquired by the Medical Defence Union (MDU) in 2023, Red Whale is now on an exciting journey to broaden impact beyond the primary care market.
Role Overview
As Sales Executive, the role holder will work as part of the In-house courses (Sales) team, responsible for the account management of current customers as well as the acquisition of new customers. The role ensures Red Whale provides a good experience and level of service to customers (and potential customers) when they commission a course or order licences from Red Whale.
The role involves selling clinical education courses and licences to customers in both NHS organisations and the private sector. Responsibility covers the full sales process – from identifying and approaching potential prospects, to establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers with the aim of growing accounts and gaining repeat business.
Please note that Red Whale is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
