Role Overview
Smart Horizons Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Content Designer to join the growing team. You will analyse legislation, guidance, standards, and other relevant documentation, and convert them into clear, engaging, and accurate content for online training courses. You will also create blogs, articles, and other marketing materials that reflect current trends.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep research, has excellent written communication skills, and can balance accuracy with creativity.
Key Responsibilities

Research and interpret legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice across safeguarding, food hygiene, first aid, fire safety, and health & safety

Develop and update e-learning course content ensuring it is accurate, compliant, and easy for learners to understand

Write engaging blogs, articles, newsletters, and thought-leadership pieces aligned with current trends and best practices

Create content that resonates with key target audiences, maintaining a clear and professional tone of voice

Support marketing campaigns with high-quality written materials that highlight the expertise and training solutions of Smart Horizons Ltd

Monitor regulatory changes and developments, and emerging best practices to ensure all content remains current

Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, readability, and customer need

Maintain version control of documentation and ensure updates are communicated internally
Essential Skills & Experience

Excellent written English with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to translate complex information into clear, learner-friendly content

Highly organised, with proven experience managing multiple projects and deadlines

Experience of using page builders to create or edit web pages
Desirable Skills

Knowledge of safeguarding, food hygiene, first aid, fire safety, or health & safety regulations

Experience in e-learning content development writing compliance, educational, or instructional content

Familiarity with digital learning tools, including Articulate 360 or Rise

Understanding of online learning environments
