About the Role
Southern Housing is seeking a passionate Care Worker to join the team at Byrnhill Grove, a Registered Care Home in Ventnor. The Care Worker will provide person-centred care and support to residents, responding flexibly to their individual needs.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting with intimate personal care when required

Ensuring a safe and secure environment
-
Following health and safety requirements
-
Carrying out care plans and risk assessments
-
Undertaking manual handling as necessary
-
Adhering to Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards
This role requires an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
Key Responsibilities

Provide care according to individual person-centred care plans, including some intimate personal care
-
Promote independence, rights, choices, and inclusion in the community
-
Summon professional assistance in emergencies
-
Maintain up-to-date care plans and risk assessments reflecting individual needs and wishes
Requirements
-
5 GCSE passes at grade “C” or above (or equivalent Grade 9–5), including Maths & English
-
Good literacy, numeracy, written, and verbal communication skills
-
Health & safety awareness
-
Ability to work as part of a team
-
Understanding of CQC requirements

Willingness to learn new skills
