Hemiks is looking for a creative and organised Social Media & Marketing Assistant to support its social media presence and creator collaborations. You’ll work directly with the founder, contributing ideas and helping bring them to life as the UK presence grows.

About the Role

Your main focus will be supporting the TikTok and Instagram accounts through content planning, creation, publishing and community engagement. You’ll also assist with influencer outreach and the coordination of product samples and collaborations.

Hemiks is looking for someone who is active on social media, enjoys discovering new content and keeps up with trends, particularly in beauty, haircare and lifestyle. You should have a good eye for engaging content and be able to suggest ideas that suit the brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Help plan and maintain a content calendar for TikTok and Instagram.

• Create and edit social content using existing brand assets, with occasional original content agreed in advance.

• Write captions, schedule posts and respond to routine comments and messages during agreed working hours.

• Follow relevant beauty and social media trends, and suggest content ideas that suit Hemiks.

• Support influencer research, outreach and follow-ups, and help coordinate product samples and collaboration timelines.

• Track basic content performance and keep content plans and creator records organised.

Weekly priorities and deliverables will be agreed with the founder to fit the contracted hours.

About You

• Active on social media, with a good understanding of TikTok and Instagram and an interest in emerging trends.

• Interested in beauty, haircare and consumer brands.

• Comfortable creating and editing content using tools such as CapCut and Canva, or similar software.

• Strong written English, with the ability to write engaging captions and professional outreach messages.

• Organised, attentive to detail and reliable with deadlines.

• Able to work independently on agreed tasks and communicate progress clearly.

• Eligible to work in the UK.

Desirable Experience

• Experience managing Instagram, TikTok or other social media accounts for a brand, business or personal project.

• Experience with influencer outreach, product gifting or creator collaborations.

• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools and performance reporting.

• Familiarity with Xiaohongshu (RED), or experience posting on the platform, would also be a plus.
