Elton Ecology provides ecological surveys and Biodiversity Net Gain advice to planning consultants, architects, housebuilders and other development professionals.

Elton Ecology is looking for an organised, proactive Sales and Marketing Administrator to help introduce its services to prospective clients and maintain consistent follow-up.

The Role

This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day sales outreach. The successful candidate will work directly with the Director, using supplied contact lists, email templates and brochures to contact potential clients, identify opportunities and keep accurate records.

A substantial part of the role involves working methodically through contact lists and completing repeatable tasks accurately and consistently. Candidates should enjoy making progress against clear activity targets and be confident picking up the phone.

No ecological knowledge is required. Elton Ecology will explain its services and provide guidance on what to say, with technical enquiries passed to its ecologists.

Your Responsibilities

• Send personalised introductory emails and brochures to prospective clients using approved templates.

• Make outbound calls, including cold calls, to introduce the company’s services and identify potential requirements.

• Follow up previous emails and conversations professionally.

• Prepare letters, address lists and brochure mailings, and coordinate printing and posting.

• Research companies and relevant contacts, checking and updating contact details.

• Maintain accurate records of outreach, responses and follow-up dates.

• Pass interested enquiries to the Director or relevant team member promptly.

• Provide a brief daily summary of activity, responses and opportunities.

About You

You will need:

• Experience in sales administration, telesales, telemarketing, customer outreach or a similar role.

• Confidence making cold calls and speaking professionally with business owners and other decision-makers.

• Excellent written English and strong attention to detail.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

• The ability to follow a process, manage your workload and maintain momentum while working remotely.

• A reliable, discreet approach to handling company information and representing the business.

• A suitable home working environment and reliable internet connection.

Experience contacting architects, planning consultants, property developers or other professional services businesses would be helpful, but is not essential.
