Job Summary

South West Care Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a care home specialising in senior care, including dementia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

This role offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team committed to providing exceptional support to residents in a caring and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operation of the care home, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care tailored to individual needs

  • Excellent command of the English IELTS B2 above

  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for residents

  • Supervise and lead a team of care staff, providing guidance, training supervision, and performance management to uphold high standards of care

  • Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal and organisational policies

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections

  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies

  • Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary to enhance resident wellbeing

  • Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development initiatives

  • Promote a safe and homely environment by ensuring health & safety standards are met consistently

Skills and Experience

  • Proven management experience within care environments, or similar

  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent supervising skills

  • Knowledge of nursing practices related to care

  • Experience in developing and managing care plans

  • Competence in medication administration following legal guidelines

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members

  • Familiarity with home care services is desirable but not essential
