Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree
- Minimum CGPA: 3.5 out of 4.0
- GPA must be calculated using the Scholaro GPA Calculator
Admission Requirement
- An official letter of acceptance from the VUB Education and Student Administration Office is mandatory before applying for the scholarship
English Language Requirements
Applicants must meet higher English standards than regular university admission:
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum score 94
- IELTS Academic: Minimum Band 7.0
- Cambridge English: C1 level with minimum score 185

Application Procedure
The application process involves two main steps:
Step 1: Apply for Admission at VUB
- Apply for an eligible master’s programme at Vrije Universiteit Brussel
- Receive an official acceptance letter from the VUB Education and Student Administration Office
Step 2: Apply for the Master Mind Scholarship
- Submit the scholarship application online
- Upload all required documents, including:
- Completed application form
- Passport photo
- Passport or national ID
- Transcript of records (with certified translation if required)
- Curriculum Vitae (including GPA out of 4.0, awards, publications, scholarships)
- GPA calculation screenshots from Scholaro
- English language test results
- Motivation letter addressed to the Flemish Government jury
- Two signed recommendation letters (academic or professional)
- Copy of acquired diploma(s) with certified translation if necessary
Application Deadline
Scholarship application deadline:
- 26 March 2026, 23:59 (GMT+1)
Late, incomplete, or ineligible applications will not be accepted.
- Applications are reviewed by Vrije Universiteit Brussel
- VUB will nominate a maximum of 20 candidates
- Final selection is made by the Flemish Ministry of Education
- Only nominated candidates are considered for the final award
