Responsibilities
- Prepare the online class to impact student learning and maximize your time
- Successfully and professionally offer teaching and provide academic instruction to students and help students to improve their grades
- Assess students’ academic needs and craft individualized plans that support learning success.
- Coach students in the skills necessary for achievement in the science and math olympiad and other events they are involved in
- Plans and schedules regular practices leading to science competition
- Maintains competency in rules and general information about all aspects of Science and Math Olympiad.
- Organizes, coordinates, and chaperones Science and Math Olympiad competitions team and activities.
- Provides direction to volunteer youth helpers and science club leaders
Requirements
- Must have successful AP classes teaching experience
- MUST have a strong background in Science and Math subjects.
- Experience in Science Olympiad and Math Olympiad competition and activities.
- Great interpersonal skills including communication and critical thinking.
- Experience in teaching and/or coaching science is preferred
- A teaching certificate of bachelor’s degree is preferred but not a must to have
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
